About Gearhart Aerial

A geospatial data partner — not a photography vendor.

We build the aerial inputs that engineering, construction, and infrastructure teams across the Kansas City metro use to design, document, and deliver real projects.

Our mission

Precise, timely, actionable aerial data — every time.

Gearhart Aerial Solutions LLC is a Kansas City-based unmanned aircraft systems company providing engineering-grade aerial mapping and geospatial services. We combine FAA Part 107 compliant flight operations with RTK-enabled aircraft, LiDAR and photogrammetry payloads, and GIS/CAD-ready processing workflows.

We deliver orthomosaics, digital surface and terrain models, contours, stockpile volumes, inspection datasets, and 3D models — built to drop directly into Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and the engineering workflows our clients already run.

Our vision

Become the preferred precision aerial mapping partner for engineering, construction, and infrastructure clients in the Kansas City region.

Why clients choose us

What sets Gearhart Aerial apart.

We sit between low-cost solo drone operators and high-overhead national providers — competing on accuracy, technical deliverables, response time, and local execution.

24–48 hour turnaround

Faster mobilization and processing than large national providers. Standard scopes delivered within two business days of capture.

Engineering-grade output

RTK and LiDAR workflows with QA against project specifications. Deliverables compatible with Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and your existing workflows.

Local KC presence

Lower mobilization costs and metro-area familiarity. We know the airspace, the controlled corridors, and the local construction landscape.

One vendor, full workflow

Flight operations, processing, QA/QC, and client-ready outputs handled in-house. No subcontractor handoffs to slow you down.

Flexible engagements

Project-based pricing, monthly monitoring plans, or annual retainers — structured to match your cash flow and project cadence.

Compliant & insured

Part 107 certified pilots, LAANC-capable for controlled airspace, and full hull, liability, and errors & omissions coverage.

Fleet & software

The right tool for every site.

A professional fleet of mapping aircraft and a software stack built for engineering deliverables — not consumer drones and stock filters. NDAA-compliant platforms are available for security-sensitive, public-sector, and federally influenced scopes.

DJI Matrice 350 RTK

Primary mapping platform with RTK GNSS for survey-grade positioning across larger project sites.

DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise

Rapid-deployment platform for small-site work, inspections, and quick-turnaround captures.

Zenmuse L2 LiDAR

High-precision LiDAR payload for vegetation penetration, classified point clouds, and bare-earth terrain.

RTK GNSS Base Station

Network-corrected positioning for centimeter-level accuracy on critical engineering sites.

Pix4D, DJI Terra, DroneDeploy

Industry-standard photogrammetry and LiDAR processing pipelines with documented QA workflow.

Civil 3D & ArcGIS Pro

Final outputs prepared for direct integration into your existing CAD and GIS workflows — no reformatting required.

NDAA-Compliant Platforms

Available on request for projects with Section 848, Blue UAS, or other supply-chain and data-security requirements common to public-sector and federally influenced scopes.
